Born in Meerut, India in 1968.  I am married with two children, and my wife is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.  I Graduated from LLRM Medical College in India in 1993.  Initially worked in Hospital Medicine before moving to General practice in 2005, I finished training in 2007.  I became a Full Time Principle at Crimond in 2008.  I am interested in teaching and training, and instigated us becoming a training practice with attachments for Medical Students and FY2 Training in the surgery. I also have some interest in Cosmetic Services and started providing Botox and fillers here at the medical practice in 2012.

I was born in Aberdeen and am married with two young children. I graduated from Glasgow university in 1999 and have been working in general practice for the last 11 years. As well as passing my GP exams I have done a Diploma in Child Health. I have a special interest in orthopaedics and perform a wide range of joint injections.

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma, hypertension, COPD, hypothyroidism or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears and family planning checks.

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Gillian joined the practice in January 2011 as a Receptionist and then re-trained as a Healthcare Assistant.  She is married with two children and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her family and friends and also card making.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

The District/Community Nursing Team help with home nursing care for the house bound and post-operative patients requiring care at home.  This service in invaluable for a Medical Centre.

Mrs Frances Burnett RGN DN BSc(Hons) Nursing

Frances trained at the Queen Margaret College in Edinburgh and graduated with a BSc (Hons) Nursing.  She worked in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for several years before becoming a Community Nurse at Mintlaw in 2001.  She got her BA Community Health Nursing (District Nurse) in 2007.

She joined Crimond in September 2012 as a District Nursing Sister and is in charge of the District/Community Nursing Team.

Mrs Samantha Watt DN

Sam trained at the Robert Gordons University in Aberdeen and graducated with a Diploma in Adult Nursing.  She has been a Community Nurse since 2009 and joined the team at Crimond in May 2012.

Sam is married with two children.
