Appointments

steth_pills_diaryAppointments can be made by calling 01346 532215 between Monday and Friday from 08:00 in the morning to 18:00 at night.

If patients are making appointments with the nurse then the receptionist will ask for some details of the problem so that she can inform the nurse (in case anything needs set up for you).

Patients will be informed on their arrival if any surgeries are running late.

Emergency Appointments

The practice has available emergency appointments during the day.  These are for patients with urgent problems that cannot wait until the following day (e.g. chest pain, bad accident or injury).  Each situation is assessed prior to the patient been given the appointment.  The reception staff will ask the patients for the reason of the emergency.  We ask that patients respect the emergency appointments for urgent problems only.

Telephone Consultations

Telephone advice is available from all doctors.  Please ask the receptionist about these when you contact the surgery.  These are 5 minute appointments that can be used by patients who wish to speak to a GP instead of coming along to the surgery.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

Health Care Assistant

Our Health Care Assistant covers a variety of services including - blood tests, spirometry, blood pressure monitoring, ECG's, new patient checks and assisting the Doctors during Minor Surgery.  If you require a blood test or any of these other services then please ask for an appointment with her.

Interpreter Services

The surgery provides an interpreter service “Language Line” for patients who have difficulty speaking English.  A poster is displayed and further details can be received from the reception.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
